Simon Husslein & MIRR
MIRR is the result of meticulous processing and refining. The search for the perfect dining chair is based on the armchair style, which does not compromise on comfort. In this creation, designer Simon Husslein has virtually deconstructed the compact look of a fully upholstered piece through the sculptural structure of the solid wood base. The chair owes its elegance to the seemingly elongated chair legs fixed in a frame where the upholstered seat has been extravagantly lowered. The resulting proportions are absolutely unique in this chair segment.
The creation is also a celebration of Lucas Schnaidt’s phenomenal upholstery skills and philosophy of sustainability. It makes no compromise in terms of materiality or comfort. A high-quality no-sag spring unit was inserted by hand in the seat frame and backrest. The seat, backrest and armrests are upholstered with natural rubber, coconut and jute. The convex shape of the backrest provides ergonomic support for the lower back.
With the MIRR, Simon Husslein has created an elegant and extraordinarily comfortable armchair. Totally in keeping with the tradition of the highly skilled arts of carpenters and upholsterers. An alchemy of the finest materials from nature and master craftsmen.
